Our Mission: Founded in 1907, the Brotherhood was the first Romaniote institution of its kind in the United States and continues to serve the needs of our community to this day through burial support services and more.

The United Brotherhood Good Hope Society of Janina continues its long-standing tradition of providing the very best services and support available to member families at the time of a loss, to ease their burden. The goal of the Society is to purchase and maintain burial grounds for its members and their families, and to furnish all necessary services for the proper burial of their dead in accordance with the rites and customs of the Orthodox Jewish faith. The Society continues to meet its goal fully and with compassion.
